When our designated braaier, Bartho de Vries, always found himself packing his own braai tongs when visiting friends, he realised what an important role a braai tong adds to the braai experience.

He set out to find the perfect braai tong and stumbled upon the Dax tong that has been manufactured in Port Elizabeth for the last 40 years. This journey became a vision, and in 2022 Dutchman was established to provide fellow braai enthusiasts with the same sense of braai satisfaction.
